一、基本信息与跨界身份

-陈持平 1953年生，祖籍福建仙游，出身艺术世家：祖父陈开泉为上海美专国画组毕业，是刘海粟得意门生；父亲陈祖儒为书法家，自幼受家传影响。

- 兼具医学与艺术双重身份：本业为妇产科医师，曾任台北马偕纪念医院总院副院长，是国际知名医学家及产前细胞遗传学诊断学者，2019年获医疗奉献奖，2022-2024年入选斯坦福大学全球2%科学家及前十万名科学家名单；同时为台日美术协会、中国通俗文艺研究会会员，擅长丙烯画，兼攻篆书、草书（尤喜草书）。

- 风格与技法：属野兽派风格，以丙烯颜料在棉麻混纺画布创作，色彩鲜艳奔放、笔触大胆不羁，用鲜明原色构筑画面，强调色彩对比与情感直接表达；自创“调色盘艺术”，利用残留颜料瞬间创作，作品震撼感官。

I. Basic Information and Cross-border Identity

CHEN,CHIH-PING Born in 1953, his ancestral home is Xianyou, Fujian Province. He comes from an artistic family: His grandfather, Chen Kaiquan, graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of Shanghai Art School and was a favored student of Liu Haisu. My father, Chen Zuru, was a calligrapher and was influenced by the family tradition since childhood.

- With dual identities in medicine and art: Primarily an obstetrician and gynecologist, she served as the vice president of the main hospital of Mackay Memorial Hospital in Taipei. She is an internationally renowned medical scientist and scholar in prenatal cytogenetic diagnosis. In 2019, she received the Medical Contribution Award. From 2022 to 2024, she was selected for the Stanford University's list of the world's 2% of scientists and the top 100,000 scientists. He is also a member of the Taiwan-Japan Art Association and the Chinese Popular Literature and Art Research Society. He is skilled in acrylic painting and also proficient in seal script and cursive script (with a particular fondness for cursive script).

Ii. Core Characteristics of Artistic Creation

- Style and Technique: It belongs to the Fauvist style, created with acrylic paint on cotton-linen blended canvas. The colors are bright and unrestrained, and the brushstrokes are bold and unrestrained. The picture is constructed with bright primary colors, emphasizing color contrast and direct expression of emotions. Self-created "palette art", using residual pigments to create instantly, the works shock the senses.

- Creative concept: Propose the concept of "art therapy", believing that creating and appreciating paintings can release emotions, calm the mind, and be beneficial to physical and mental health. Advocating "Sinicization of art", it conveys the core concept of "loving life and taking benevolence as beauty".

- Unique Form: Featuring "ancient poetry and modern painting", it takes ancient Chinese poetry and lyrics as the subject matter and achieves the integration of Chinese and Western art through three-dimensional creation (English translation, writing verses in seal and cursive scripts, and interpreting the artistic conception through painting), allowing viewers to experience the beauty of Chinese culture.

- Publication and Exhibition of Works: The works have been included and published in newspapers and periodicals such as "China Collection", "China Art", "China Culture Daily", and "Art Market", and have been reported by platforms such as Xinhuanet. In June 2023, I participated in the "Chuanxin • National Invitational Exhibition of Famous Calligraphers and Painters". In July 2025, it was featured on the cover of Art Market.

- Publication of Works: In January 2023, "Selected Acrylic Paintings by CHEN,CHIH-PING" was published by Beijing Arts and Crafts Publishing House. In September, the "New Era Famous Artists' Painting Collection" was compiled and published by Unity Publishing House.

- Work connotation: It encompasses various forms such as figurative, semi-figurative, and abstract, brimming with philosophical contemplation and story-telling. For instance, "Mother's Smile" showcases the joy of life and pays tribute to the spirit of charity with Mother Teresa as its subject matter. Some of the works draw inspiration from classical poetry (such as those by Cen Shen and Xu Zhimo), integrating calligraphy and painting to interpret the interweaving of time and space, life and culture.
