The World Academy of Productivity Sciences (WAPS) is an important part of the World Productivity Science Alliance (WCPS). The World Productivity Science Alliance was established in 1969. Its goal is to promote the productivity of all sectors of the national economy, improve the quality of work, improve living standards, and create world peace and prosperity with the progress of productivity. The elected members of the World Academy of Productivity Sciences must be entrepreneurs, experts and scholars who have made outstanding contributions to the scientific research of productivity, the promotion and organization of the development of advanced productivity, especially in the fields of new theories, new ideas and excellent operation methods for improving productivity and creating wealth.
In 2001, the late famous Chinese economist, Professor Xiong Yingwu of Heilongjiang University, was elected as an academician of the World Academy of Productivity Sciences with his outstanding achievements in the study of economic theory of productivity.
In November 2014, with the approval of the Council of the World Productivity Science Alliance and the academician committee of the World Academy of Productivity Sciences, Professor Xie Yonggang of the School of Economics and Business Administration of Heilongjiang University was elected as an academician of the World Academy of Productivity Sciences, in recognition of his efforts and contributions over the years in the "theoretical research field and practical application of disaster economy". World Network of Productivity Organizations (WNPO): It is composed of WCPS network partners (group members) and other affiliates. Network partners (group members) are composed of group organizations that have the common goals of WCPS and agree to become a formal part of WCPS.
World Academy of Productivity Sciences (WAPS): It is composed of individuals (academicians) who share the same goals with WCPS and are willing to keep working contact with WCPS and make contributions to it. Academicians have been unanimously recognized for their contributions to productivity science and WCPS. The maximum number of academicians is 500, elected from among the outstanding and internationally recognized contributors in the field of productivity science.
